Current Openings
Direct Support Professional
Duties
Provide supervision and guidance for residents during skills building activities
Implement individual support plans for residents
Assist with activities of daily living including preparing meals, assisting with personal hygiene
Develop a rapport with residents and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship.
Update residents progress notes on a daily basis
Ensure an appropriate staff-to-client ratio at all times
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED required
Minimum of 2 years experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities
Valid driver's license
Current First aid and CPR certification
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Compassionate about the care and wellbeing of others
Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP)
Duties
Responsible for the development , implementation, and facilitation of the service plan process for persons served, ensuring integration of service planning through the involvement of the individual’s family, guardian, other service providers, agency staff, and others identified by the individual.
Supervision of direct care delivery to individuals who are behaviorally and medically complex.
Providing support to 4 individuals residing within each assigned home and 5-10 direct care staff.
Provides supportive counseling, training and community integration to individuals with behavioural disabilities
Interacts with consumers in a professional manner adhering to all human rights guidelines
Documentation of services provided and adherence to Ritecare, DBHDS, Medicaid/CMS and other states/federal regulations
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in human services related field.
At least 1 year experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities required
Effective organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.
Valid Virginia driver’s license with good driving record
Proficiency in the use of computers, software applications, and working knowledge of microsoft word and outlook
Residential Manager
Duties
Scheduling, oversight and supervision of staff
Oversight and direction of all planned services to residents
Maintenance of accurate records as they relate to the operations of the assigned home, services provided to residents, supervision of staff.
Others duties as assigned
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree preferred in human services field
Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disability
Obtain and maintain certification in CPR/First Aid, medication administration
Must have well developed organizational and time management skills and the ability to multitask.
Effective written and oral
Proficient use of basic office equipment and computer software.
Must have a degree of flexibility with work hours
